Josh Ailaomai (born 17 June 1991) is a rugby league footballer of Maori and Samoan descent that plays for the Sydney Roosters of the National Rugby League.[1] He plays at prop and second-row in the NSW Cup competition. Ailaomai attended St Bernard's College in Lower Hutt and was awarded Sportsman of the year in 2007.
Born in Lower Hutt, New Zealand, Ailaomai played his junior football with the Te Aroha Eels. He later played for the Newcastle Knights Toyota Cup side from 2008-11 and has yet to make an appearance in the Telstra Premiership. In 2011 Ailaomai was named in the 2011 Newcastle Knights fulltime train-on squad but still coudn't break into the first-grade team.
In August 2011, Ailaomai signed a 2-year deal to join the Sydney Roosters.[2]
